5 pole skew wound motor 12-24v

This is a type of motor is a 5 pole skew wound varient with rare earth magnets and is rated up to 24v. This is ideal for crawling at low speeds as it has massive amounts of torque at the slowest of speeds.
 
This motors fit into a large range of locomotives from all the major brands. This motor is found in many Hornby locomotives.
 
please note that depending on your model you may have to trim the shaft as these come standard with dual shaft.
